Supply Reference Group
The Supply Reference Group is looking at supply planning for Roadmap initiatives and the Roadmap in general.
All the planning groups include a person from the Supply Reference Group and the Government Enterprise Architecture Group for coordination between architecture, supply, and initiatives.
Role and Function
1. Understanding the unique market economics in terms of the investment in Government ICT in New Zealand and formulating a ‘guided market’ model that optimises the public and private investment in ICT environments, capabilities and solutions, including:
- Reviewing benefit realisation plans and reports from common capability sourcing initiatives
- Monitoring the governance of major government ICT suppliers, endorsing supplier development plans and advising agencies on the management of these suppliers
- Advising other Government ICT governance groups on matters relating to supply
2. Ensuring a common set of proven commercial practices for the procurement of ICT products and services (over their useful life) are understood and in use, including:
- Policies, standards, processes and frameworks
- Recommending candidate categories for AoG contracts under the Procurement Reform Programme
