ICT Strategy Group

The ICT Strategy Group is driving the Directions and Priorities agenda on cross-government information and communication technology.  The State Services Commissioner appoints the chief executive members of the ICT Strategy group.

Role and Function

  1. Champion the Directions and Priorities for Government ICT
  2. Advise and be directed by the Ministerial Committee on Government ICT
  3. Support agency chief executives to align agency planning, development, procurement and delivery of ICT services
  4. Provide advice to the Ministerial Committee on Government ICT on agency contributions to strengthening cross-government business capability and on the business fit of common ICT products
  5. Advise the Government Business Reform Group on cross-government ICT issues
  6. Approve - The Government ICT Roadmap; Open Government Data and Information Re-use work programme; revisions to the Directions and Priorities for Government ICT
  7. Drive cost reductions though economies of scale and use/reuse of common ICT products and services
  8. Drive improvements to service delivery through use of ICT.
