igovt identity verification service
The igovt identity verification service allows people to prove their identity online by asserting an igovt ID.
It is an all-of-government shared service, designed to allow services to be online that require the user to prove their identity. It saves time and money by letting people verify their identity quickly and easily. The igovt services are a key to meeting the government’s objective of better, smarter services for less.
More information about the igovt identity verification service and the associated igovt logon service is available at www.i.govt.nz and specific information for agencies interested in integrating is available on the Department of Internal Affairs website.
For more information, please contact Helen Coffey, Department of Internal Affairs, phone 04-382 3717 or email helen.coffey@dia.govt.nz
